We would like to encourage you all to participate in the Nordic Congress in Clinical Biochemistry with the aim of promoting research, education and practice in clinical biochemistry by networking and sharing discussions with all professions from clinical laboratories in the Nordic Countries.

Scientific program
The scientific program is divided into three types of sessions, namely basic and translational research, lab organization and disease entities. In the sessions and in the plenary lectures the following issues are covered: new and older biomarkers in diagnosis and monitoring, the use of personalized medicine in for example cancer and diabetes, as well as new laboratory techniques. Oral presentations in relation to the Eldjarn- and Astrup prices are found in key sessions. Please have a look in the detailed version of the program on the program-page.
Please notice that the deadline for the Astrup Competition has been extended to 1. March 2016.

Exhibition
A series of companies participate as exhibitors. Some companies among the sponsors arrange 30-minute lectures at the middle of lunch breaks, and also at coffee breaks, where it will be possible for exhibitors to present a focus topic at their booth.

Odense

Social program
A welcome reception is held at the Hans Christian Andersen Hotels neighboring building, Odense’s brand-new museum, Møntergården. The museum has a very lively and interactive exhibition on Funen and Odense's history. On the evening of day 2 of the congress, a "Sailing up the river" -tour on Odense Å is organized, but dinner on your own and company events are other possibilities. Congress dinner on June 16 will take place in only five minutes walking distance from the convention site at the Danish Railway Museum. Moreover, Odense has other interesting places to visit.

We hope to attract many professions from Nordic hospital laboratories and from industry to the congress in Odense, where we will be educated about new themes in clinical biochemistry. Furthermore, we will discuss and share knowledge and also socialize with old and new friends.

We look forward to welcoming you to Odense in June 2016.

On behalf of the local organizing comitée from Region South in Denmark,
